In Taiwan Door Gods are commonly seen on household doors and temple doors. They are believed to protect the occupants as well as bring good fortune. The first door gods were Shentu and Yulei, arguably the most popular door gods are Qin Shubao and Wei Chigong and other popular door gods are the Four Heavenly Kings, the Heng Ha Generals and Weituo and Jialan.
